ORDER, PRODUCTION & RETURNS POLICY

(Made to Order)

At Lipstick by Seun, every piece is handmade with intention, patience and craftsmanship. Because our garments are produced in small batches and crafted after each order is placed, we operate primarily as a Made-to-Order brand.
This approach helps us reduce waste, support local artisans, and preserve the integrity of the fabrics we work with.

Please review the policies below before placing your order.

 

1. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTION TIMELINE

Standard production timeline: 2-6 weeks (depends on fabric availability, complexity and artisan capacity)

If you need your order earlier:

You may email hello@lipstickbyseun.com to confirm if:
* the fabric is in stock, and
* An urgent/expedited production window is possible
OR
* if a nearby stockist currently carries the piece you want.

We partner with select boutiques, and in some cases, they may have ready pieces available for immediate purchase.

 

2. ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Because production begins shortly after your order is placed:

You may cancel your order within 12 hours of purchase for a full refund.
After 12 hours, production will have begun, and cancellations will not be possible.

For any corrections to sizing or measurements, kindly email hello@lipstickbyseun.com immediately within this same window.

 

3. SIZING & FIT SUPPORT

Our garments are crafted using a carefully developed standard size guide.
Because every woman’s body is beautifully unique, the same garment may fit differently across individuals based on proportions and styling choices.

To support you:
We provide an easy-to-follow measurement guide on our website. Please refer to the guide below.

But if still unsure, our team is available to advise on sizing before you place your order.

If your piece arrives and requires minor adjustments, we offer:

$15 / ₦10,000 alteration support credit, OR

Free in-house alterations if you can send the piece back to us
(Customer covers return shipping)

This support applies only to minor adjustments (length, side seams, ease).
It does not apply to complete style changes or wrong size selection far from your actual measurements.

 

4. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

Because most Lipstick by Seun pieces are made especially for you, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds once production has begun — except in cases of an error on our end or if you bought from a stockist near you (dependent on their store policies)

We will accept a return ONLY if:
✔ You received the wrong item
✔ There was a clear production error
✔ The item arrived damaged

In such cases, we will:
Replace the item, OR
Repair the item
OR issue a refund where replacement is not possible.

We must be notified within 48 hours of receiving your item.

We do not accept returns or refunds for:

✘ Change of mind
✘ Items worn, washed or altered outside our support
✘ Wrong sizing due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer
✘ Fit preferences (e.g. wanting a tighter/looser fit)
✘ Clothing labels and/or tags damaged/ removed.

However, we remain committed to customer satisfaction, and our alteration support (see Section 3) still applies. And if you experience any concerns with your order still, please email hello@lipstickbyseun.com our team will assist promptly.

 

5. SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Nigeria

Delivery takes 2-7 working days after production is completed (location-dependent)

International

Delivery takes 5–12 working days after production is completed.
Custom duties may apply depending on your country; these are the customer’s responsibility.

 

6. HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

To get your best fit, please measure using a measuring tape. Ensure the tape is fitted to the body but not tight. It should sit comfortably without digging into the skin.

Bust – Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, parallel to the floor.

Waist – Measure around the smallest part of your waist…usually just above your belly button.

Hips – Stand with feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips.

Dress Length – Place the tape measure at the top of your shoulder and extend it down to where you want the dress to end.
